Join our 12-week training to learn how to develop a resume, connect with employers, and find sustainable employment. The course is an in-class program with both group sessions and one-on-one work with our project instructors and employment specialists. Our program offers a training incentive, childcare support, purchase of accessible devices or technology and much more.
We offer training specific to employers around inclusive hiring practices, customer service for support persons with disabilities, and roundtable discussions with other employers to develop inclusive hiring policies. We are currently conducting a territory-wide scan of Nunavut business to create partnerships and offer information.
We will be hosting 3 employer engagements events in-person and/or virtually to discuss the duty to accommodate, inclusive hiring practices, and how-to best support people with disabilities in the workplace. If you are interested in attending an event, please contact us at connect@nuability.ca
NDMS offers a variety of workshops to promote positive mental health, develop skills, and encourage inclusion. A few of our workshops include on-the-land healing groups, counselling sessions, roundtable discussions, disability committees, sewing programs, and traditional tool making programs.
We provide a job coach/mentorship training for persons interested in learning how to support people with disabilities on the job.
