Advocacy
NDMS provides advocacy to ensure individuals with disabilities have equitable access to services, opportunities, and rights.

Individual Advocacy
Assisting individuals in accessing services and accommodations, such as securing disability benefits, ensuring accessibility in housing, or navigating the healthcare system.
Self-Advocacy
Self-advocacy refers to an individual’s ability to effectively communicate their needs and rights. Self-advocacy encourages individuals to help themselves to get what they need.
Policy Advocacy
Engaging with policymakers to influence disability-inclusive policies, such as accessibility standards in public spaces and workplaces.
Group Advocacy
Working alongside disability groups to raise awareness and push for systemic change, such as advocating for accessible transportation or improved education supports for students with disabilities.

Service Navigation
